Yuvraj Singh arrived to international level with bang scored a brilliant half century in his very first inning at Nairobi with 84 runs of 82 balls against the quality pace attack like Glenn McGrath, B.Lee and J.Gillespie and also involved in two brilliant run outs in that match. He has won many matches on his own. Like Natwest Series Final against England when all big guns back in the pavilion he and Md. Kaif took the responsibility and went on to win it for India chasing 325 runs.

He has good all-round ability with bat, bowl and in the field. He has been rated as one of the superb Indian fielder in all time. A tall well built Yuvraj Singh is great timer of cricket ball and when he is on song it feels great to watch him bat. He also holds the record of hitting six sixes in an over in Twenty20. In the do-or-die game against England he scored quick fire fifty and manages to hit six sixes in an over of S.Broad to become the first player to hit six sixes in an over in new format of the game. Yuvraj Singh went on to score 50 of just 12 balls and finally got out on 58 runs of 16 balls.
